According to the “Bonn Vein Study”, one in six men and one in five women were diagnosed with chronic venal disorder as much as ten years ago. Typical characteristics, the so-called varicose veins, are clearly visible under the skin surface, affected legs feel “heavy”, and patients experience calf cramps at night, skin changes, swelling, or phlebitis (inflammation of a vein).
