Two things varicose veins are most definitely not: a simple cosmetic complaint or an exclusive women’s problem. One of the best known male sufferers is no other than Hollywood’s man’s man Clint Eastwood. Varicose veins are, however: a chronic enlargement of the saphenous veins, which may lead to severe health problems if left untreated. According to the “Bonn Vein Study”, one in six men and one in five women were diagnosed with chronic venal disorder as much as ten years ago. Typical characteristics, the so-called varicose veins, are clearly visible under the skin surface, affected legs feel “heavy”, and patients experience calf cramps at night, skin changes, swelling, or phlebitis (inflammation of a vein).
We carry out all cosmetic, minimally invasive, and conventional treatment methods. In recent years, the Venefit™ procedure has been widely recognised as a scientifically evaluated therapy in modern medicine. The minimally invasive procedure for the treatment of insufficient saphenous veins has become a much-appreciated option, particularly because it offers significantly less complications and high effectiveness. The treated veins remain in the body, but are without function and no longer visible under the skin. All procedures can be provided on an outpatient basis.
