Pediatric Orthopaedics
Various physiological problems like varus and valgus (O- and X-shaped) foot deformity, clubfoot, plano-valgus foot deformity and growing pains are common in children.
However, it is very important to recognize when it requires medical intervention. Some old methods involving passive correction of the feet position with orthotic supports are currently combined with active exercises to improve muscle strength (proprioception exercises).
Dynamic foot-pressure measurement that we offer helps to define the treatment plan and to monitor the results. Of course, individual therapeutic programs and daily exercises at home are also recommended.

Spine disorders in children
In case of any issues involving posture problems in children, such as the stooped posture, the lordosis or the pelvic misalignment, we offer our patients 3-D complex spine measurement analysis. This 3D measurement is done without exposing the patient to any radiation. Based on the results of the measurements, we plan an individual set of target exercises for your child. We also run tests on the potential temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD), that could also have a negative effect on the posture.

In case of scoliosis and other structural spinal disorders it can be sometimes recommended for the child to wear a corset. Our close cooperation with the corsets manufacturer (cc-tec.de) allows us to create the optimal correction of the spine and to help the child to avoid unnecessary surgical operations.
